Seed & Mill
This summer I attended ICC's Teen Camp for the second time. Last year I took the Culinary Class and this year I ventured into the world of baking and pastries in their 5 Day Pastry Class. One of my days there my mom and I went to Chelsea Market after camp. (Being there brought tons of memories back from the day we filmed Chopped.) We came to check out a cool shop called Seed & Mill. They're selling high quality tahini and halavah.

Non-Alcoholic Piña Colada
I have been spending this week of the summer down in Delray Beach, Florida. We've been having tons fun soaking up the sun. A few days ago we drove three hours to Marco Island which is on the other side of Florida by the Gulf of Mexico. We were there to go kayaking in a mangrove forest. We rented from a great company called Paddle Marco. With tour guide Ryan, from Rising Tide, which was awesome. In our private three hour tour, we saw wild dolphins, crabs, sea urchins, tons of ...
Cheese + Churros = The Best Mashup Ever!!
If you know me, then you know that I LOVE churros! It's one of the most requested recipe of mine at my cooking demos. I have made churros so many times. But I've always stuck my classic recipe. This week I teamed up with Sincerely, Brigitte to make these Cheesy Jalapeño Churros. It's the same churro batter that we all love but the change is that I added Sincerely, Brigitte's Jalapeno Cilantro Cheese grated into the dough. It's the perfect&n...
I don't often post recipes from my favorite cuisine, Indian. But today I wanted to show you how to make one of my favorite Indian breads, Roti. It's a super simple flat bread that's perfect with any curry or just done potato masala.
I am such a fan of Roti that I even have all the traditional rolling boards, rolling pins, and pans! I have so many that I need to keep them under my bed. Because, doesn't everyone keep Indian pots and pans under their beds, right?

Puff Pastry Churros
This past week I've been having a blast at the Susie Fishbein and Friends Culinary Institute at Camp Nesher. Throughout the week I helped, my good friend, Naomi Nachman with her classes during the day and I did two demos at night. It was so much fun learning teaching and hanging out with Naomi and the students. I got to meet many other cool people such as Leah Amar, Temima Mayer, and Shirley Fass who work in the center.
The two demos I did where the 7th grade and 8th grade girls' ...
This past week I have been interning at my favorite restaurant, Salsa Metsuyan. It was super cool to see what its like to work in a restaurant kitchen. I spent a lot of time learning from one of their cooks named Diego. He really knows his stuff. He is like a walking encyclopedia of Mexican food. It was such an amazing opportunity to learn from such a knowledge and friendly person.
As past of my time at the restaurant, I was to come up with a fish taco to add to ...

Over-The-Top Patriotic Ice Cream
Happy Fourth of July!
It is officially July 4th weekend which means that the partying and red, white, and blue food are in full swing. I wanted to do something that was outrageous, yummy, and of course something with red, blue, and white. So I decided to dip a huge waffle cone into some melted white chocolate, rolled it into a ton of festive M&Ms and topped it off with a scoop of my ice cream recipe swirled some with more M&Ms. It is pure patriotic fun!
