Compound Butter Breakfast Bar

This week I have teamed up with Breakstone’s butter to make your Passover breakfast even better!  In general, Passover food gets a really bad reputation. You know, eating just isn’t as fun without everyone’s favorite bread and legumes. I know I really miss them throughout the holiday. Now that I come to think of it, I am very emotionally invested in my carbs. You know what they say thought, “A cookie a day keeps the doctor away.” I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes. Even though we can’t eat those yummy carbs we can still make some awesome food.

When Breakstone’s Butter asked me to team up for a great Passover recipe I was pumped. We all know that it isn’t Passover without Breakstone’s Butter. Everyone loves using it to make matzo brie, blintzes, and especially spreading it on our matza. I love spreading my butter on matza. I got my butter at my Glatt Express, down the road. I have updated this classic by adding some other great ingredients into the butter to make three flavorful compound butters.

Each of these flavors of compound butters has their own unique flavor that they add to the Breakstone’s Butter. The first is a savory Tomato Basil Compound Butter.  It has got chopped sundried tomatoes, basil, and garlic mixed into the butter. This one is my favorite of the three, the flavor in this one is out of this world! The other two are a Maple Cinnamon and Cilantro Lime. These flavors go so well with the all natural Breakstone’s Butter. I encourage you all to play around in the kitchen and come up with your own compound butter to spread on your matza. If you make one that you really like be sure to let me know what you made!
